I Will Be Gone Forever One Day

No-one carries the memories I bear,
No-one has feelings and cares the way that I care.

My Dad, now only I can hear,
The calm in his voice, his light touch, took away my fears.
Days like seconds, time is flying away
I will be gone from here forever one day.

No-one remembers that singular first love's bliss,
The liking, the careing, loving...Holding hands, hugging,
and the first kiss.
That tragic love, I had to learn to live without,
The flame that won't die , that only death can put out.
Days like seconds, time is flying away
I will be gone from here forever one day.

Only my heart remembers the joy of the birth of my offspring,
Little feet, tiny hands, the big eyes and a million other things.
Oh, and the paralyzing fear,
Of a government gone mad and sending them to an
unnessary war, thousands of miles from here.
Days like seconds, time is flying away
I will be gone from here forever one day.

Like the tree in the forest when no one is around
Will people look at my grave and wonder,
Did He Make A Sound?
